The Sweetheart Ball
Big Hair, for a Big Night.....
So sorry: you have to look at this sideways. Rotating the picture will cause it to be distorted, and after lossing 51 lbs, I didn't want to look distorted. I'm sure you all understand, some more than others. We had a great time getting all dressed up for a night out.

Doug and Dianne Gamblin, Glenn and Heather Harris, Jackie and Roger. We received tickets to the Sweetheart Ball for Charity, from Roger's bosses. We had a dinner of Lamb, Potatoes and Veggies. The desserts were in miniature, Raspberry Mousse, Carmelized Pear Cheesecake and Mocha Ganache. During dinner there was a live auction, kinda boring when you don't drink the wine, that was being auctioned off nor could we bid on anything. Then the party began. We danced and danced and danced. We had an amazing time with amazing people. This picture was taken after about an hour of dancing, shinny and sweaty.

Words of Wisdom
The Effect of a Thought
Whenever you cultivate a thought,
Remember it will trace
With certain touch in pictured form
A story on your face.
Whenever you dwell upon a thought,
Remember it will roll
Into your being and become
A fiber of your soul.
Whenever you send out a thought,
Remember it will be
A force thoughout the universe
For all eternity.
(Author Unknown)
Bryan found this poem when he was preparing his first talk at church a couple of years ago. I keep it in my scriptures to remind me, to keep my thoughts kind and pure.

First Date
David and I went on our first date. We went to Healdsburg to the Raven Theater to see "Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat". We had an awesome time. We went with a group from church, this group was 27 people strong, including grandpa and grandma Harris. On our way home we stopped for a milkshake.

The Family That Bowls Together, Stays Together
Report cards came last week. We were impressed with the children's efforts. We felt that they needed to be rewarded. Of course they probably would have preferred time with their friends. But in the end, your "Family Is Forever".
Roger got some 7 strikes in this game.
Dave's ball went straight down the middle. Not enough power for a strike, though.
(we received David's report card at the parent/teacher conference)
Bryan's participation, the whole evening.
We had a great time together, Well some of us more than others. I even bowled, I came in second behind Roger. However; since I do the posting there is no evidence to that effect. Thursday, January 1, 2009
