Our lodging while visiting Santa Cruz

This is the outside view of our two-room suite. There is a whole story behind why we ended up with a suite. We booked a family cabin online, but they turned out to be 2x4 structures wrapped with tarps. It is of course, very windy on the coast of northern California, this was not going to work. By staying in the lodge we got to use the hot tub "awesome". We spent two nights here.

The lodge had these really cool outside fireplaces, so we were still able to make S'mores.

Amee and Bryan playing bunny. You do this by stuffing as many marshmallows as possible in your mouth. After the inserting of each marshmallow you have to say "Bunny". Very funny.

David doesn't like marshmallows so he stuffed chocolate into his mouth. Definitely mama's boy

She's a bed hog.........poor David. We took the cushions off the chair and love seat to make a bed for Bryan on the floor.

A Day at Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk

Amee, Bryan and David on the biggest roller coaster on the boardwalk.
Check out their hair................

Well, they look like they're having fun.

You know, it's not often Roger will pose for a picture.

The kids screaming on the Cyclone.

Silly Boys..........

Bryan and David thought it would be fun to ride on a kiddie ride, the Starfish.

Lunch on the Beach

Bryan finally having a break to text friends at home.

David working off his corndog and chasing birds.

Roger just had to have a "Deep Fried Twinkie".

Roger and Amee with the beach in the back ground, waiting for the Chinese Acrobats to start performing.

Roger and I on the beach with the Giant Dipper behind us.

Amee, Bryan and David at the Pigeon Point Lighthouse,

between Half Moon Bay and Santa Cruz.

A very windy Pigeon Point Lighthouse, on the way home.

Roger's New Projects

Maybe we should trying gardening.

Look at the size of this tomato plant. It's huge...

Roger says he is enjoying the building of the new retaining wall.

Not bad.....huh?

We will be adding stairs, where it looks like the dirt is spilling out of the wall. When there are three cars in the driveway, it's hard to get to the door.
